An anniversary of 200 years of braille code is getting closer. In fact, english speaking countries celebrate it from september 2024. EBU along with many other countries celebrates this important milestone in literacy of blind people from january 2025. EBU had confirmed this with the museum, Musee Louis Braille in Coupvray and established the anniversary on 2025. Most likely, Louis Braille finalized his genious code during the school year 1824-1825 in the Institut National Des Jeunes Aveugles in Paris.
